Location Information

The coordinates of the cursor location and current zoom factor are displayed to the right of the main tool bar.  On startup, the zoom factor is 1X.  For zoom factors of 16X and less, a new map is always available.  At greater magnifications, the "Mask" function shows where higher resolution data are available up to a zoom factor of 512X (~100 m node spacing). Higher resolution grids may be loaded from your own data or from the gridded datasets in the Available Data menu.
