Seafloor Magnetic Anomalies
Seafloor Magnetic Anomalies are from the global compilation of Muller, et al., 1997. Each line is an isochron, a line joining points of equal age. 
The action of selecting Seafloor Magnetic Anomalies from the Available Data => Custom Data Viewers menu opens a window showing contours of the age of the ocean crust. The ages are determined from the pattern of seafloor magnetic anomalies.
Clicking on an isochron highlights it in white. The identification of the magnetic anomaly and its assigned age are displayed in the text box in the lower part of the window. The isochrons can be toggled on and off by using the check box labelled plot isochrons.
Click Close to exit this dataset and remove the isochrons from the main map window.
